Make each cardinal vowel distinguishable.
Per Estill vowel-shaping, /i e a o u/ are the foundation every other singing skill stands on. We ask for one of the five at random; you sustain it for 2 seconds at any comfortable pitch, and the system checks whether the spectral colour of your sound matches your calibration for that vowel.
First-time setup: we’ll record your five vowels for ~10 seconds total before starting. Future lessons reuse this calibration.
