Weeks 7-8 · technique
Sustain a long phrase without gasping.
Why this matters: phrases need to live or die on a single breath. An emergency gasp mid-phrase tells the audience you ran out — instead, plan the breath at the start so the phrase carries to the end.
5 trials. Each trial: sing one note for ≥6 seconds, breathe, then sing another ≥6 seconds. No emergency gasp (an RMS spike of 12 dB or more) allowed inside a phrase. Hit 4 of 5 to pass.
